American West Coast glam punk band PROPHETS OF ADDICTION announce their animated video for their new single “Superhero” which is out today. We’re proud to host the premiere of the video and you can see it just below.
“Superhero” is from the band’s upcoming as yet untitled album available sometime in the second quarter of next year. The album is being tracked at producer Phil Soussan’s studio in Las Vegas.
PROPHETS OF ADDICTION turned to Lonny Paul Johnson (also the bassist for bands such as Lynam and Adler’s Appetite) for the animation work, rather than shooting a concept or live footage video. “”We felt an animated video captured the whole theme of the song and something I always wanted to do and this was the perfect fit,” states POA mainman Lesli Sanders.
The “Superhero” single / video also marks PROPHETS OF ADDICTION’s signing with renowned Los Angeles based label Cleopatra Records to a seven year deal. Sanders reveals, “When searching for a home for the new release we wanted a place that ‘gets it’ and felt Brian and his label Cleopatra Records was the best place. He has always kept it ‘real’ and is a fan of music and the scene.”
