New Single “Incarnate” – LISTEN
Seattle-based Melodic Black Metal outfit THE DEVILS OF LOUDUN are proud to announce their first full-length album, ‘Escaping Eternity’, which will see a February 11th, 2022 release via The Artisan Era! The debut LP from one of metal’s most promising up-and-comers is the follow up to the band’s 2015 EP ‘Entertering Oblivion’ and 2016’s ‘Enduring Creation’ EP. To celebrate the announcement, the band has released a lyric video for the first single off the record, titled “Incarnate”. Fans can check it out at the link found below.
Commenting on signing with The Artisan Era, the members of DOL state: “We are beyond stoked to be releasing our first full-length album on The Artisan Era – the sickest record label in the metal scene right now. It is truly an honor to join their ranks alongside such a prestigious roster of bands and musicians. We have spent the last 5 years meticulously writing, refining, and recording this eclectic monster of an album and we believe these efforts have paid off. The new record far surpasses everything on our previous two EPs and we couldn’t be happier to have The Artisan Era’s support in its release. “
Speaking about their debut full-length, the band shares: “Having been 5 years since our last release, we wanted to make sure our first full-length album would far surpass our older material and make it well worth the wait. ‘Escaping Eternity’ takes all the best elements of our previous music as well as some new influences drawn from the far end of the metal spectrum and turns it all up to 10.”

Active since 2009, the Pacific Northwest-based act the Devils of Loudun spent years honing their chops before the 2015 release of their first highly praised EP, Entering Oblivion. With the EP showcasing their unique brand of fast-paced, melodic death metal the band quickly gathered a devoted following. With Kyle McGinn of Dead Rhetoric calling the release “the clear cut Bandcamp winner of the year,” and Danny Sanderson of Metal Temple commenting “In less than twenty minutes, this band has managed to craft something that is not only more unique than what most underground Death Metal acts are peddling, but also significantly better. “ The Devils of Loudun wasted no time and in 2016 released their follow-up EP, Enduring Creation. A conceptual sequel to Entering Oblivion, the band’s ever-evolving sound was taken to the next level which again garnered praise from the metal community. Toilet ov Hell commenting “I was hooked the instant I hit play. This is excellent melodeath with a lot of motion and a symphonic flair.” Now, after five long years spent crafting and conjuring the next evolution of their form, The Devils of Loudun are ready to re-emerge with their most ambitious and epic release yet.
