March 11, 2022, LOS ANGELES – The Bronx, who have released a limited-edition 7-inch for each of the 13 songs on the SoCal band’s critically-acclaimed album Bronx VI (Cooking Vinyl), release the final piece of the collection: the “Participation Trophy” single and an accompanying merch collection.

Matt Caughthran says of the track: “We love ending our albums with a bit of a curveball, and ‘Participation Trophy’ is definitely an experimental finish line. A throwback sound that was too exciting to ignore.”

As the band has done with each track from Bronx VI, when they have released the vinyl single, they’ve also unveiled a single-themed merch collection (Thebronxxx.com), focusing on artists that have a strong artistic vision and a history with the band. For “Participation Trophy” they go in-house with guitar player Joby J. Ford crafting the 7-Inch art. A set of six “jack ass” trophies will be available, with each engraved with the name of the buyer.

Bronx VI (https://thebronx.lnk.to/bronxviPR) has been hailed for its “tight, joyous rock’n’roll” (Consequence of Sound), with Brooklyn Vegan saying “it’s classic fucking Bronx alright,” Revolver calling the 11-song album “high octane” and Kerrang! declaring them the “perfect punk band”

Over the Los Angeles-based band’s 19 year career, The band has released six original albums as The Bronx, and three albums under their alter ego, Mariachi El Bronx. Both iterations of the legendary SoCal outfit have been hailed for harnessing the “unleashed cries of youthful blue-collar anguish” (Los Angeles Times), and for writing “hard-hitting and catchy hard rock tracks” (Loudwire).
