Monday, April 13, 2020 – Sumerian Films are hosting a free YouTube Weekend-Long Event, happening Friday, April 17th – Sunday, April 19th. The films being premiered will begin with American Satan, then Bones UK Unplugged, followed by Mind Over Matter and concluding with Bomb City.

Each film will have a live text-chatroom that will begin 1-hour prior to the start of the film, as a countdown. The chatroom will then remain live throughout the entirety of the film. After the credits roll, the films (with the exception of Bones UK Unplugged) will close with a 15-minute video interview.

AMERICAN SATAN – boasts an all-star cast including Golden Globe Nominee Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Halloween, Amazon’s “Mozart in the Jungle”), John Bradley (HBO’s “Game of Thrones”), Mark Boone, Jr. (FX’s “Sons of Anarchy”), Denise Richards (Wild Things, Starship Troopers), and teen superstars Disney’s BooBoo Stewart (The Twilight Series, X-Men: Days Of Future Past) and Nickelodeon’s Drake Bell.

From the producer of Halloween & The Devil’s Rejects, American Satan is directed by Ash Avildsen – Founder of leading independent alternative / rock label Sumerian Records. International recording stars Andy Biersack (Black Veil Brides) and Ben Bruce (Asking Alexandria) bring rock & roll authenticity to the film, starring as leads in the fictional band The Relentless that the movie centers around, along with Jonathan Davis of platinum selling mega group Korn and Nicholas O’Toole composing the score.

American Satan plays upon the dream every kid has of becoming a rock star and asks the question, what would you do to achieve that dream? The story follows a young rock band that moves to Los Angeles to chase their dreams of stardom on the Sunset Strip. Hell-bent on following in the footsteps of their musical idols, they meet an enigmatic stranger (McDowell) who seems to know them better than they know themselves. Preying on their most basic desires and emotions, he entices them with an offer that sets them on a path to fame and fortune; but when they release their debut album, “American Satan,” it sets off a firestorm of controversy, death and destruction beyond anything the music world could ever imagine.

BONES UK UNPLUGGED – inspired by Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged, this stunning performance is captured in the band’s iconic black-and-white style and mostly shot with a handheld camera. It opens with Rosie and Carmen in the backseat of an eerie hearse going to a magically-charged location. Once there, they enter through a vortex to an underworld with an audience of relatable misfits to give an unforgettable RAW and passion-filled performance.

MIND OVER MATTER – is the international award-winning documentary chronicling the inspirational story of Brandon Mendenhall. Brandon was born with cerebral palsy, a neurological condition that affects movement, coordination and balance. More than one doctor told him he would never play an instrument, but Brandon had other plans. The film documents Brandon’s unbelievable journey to rehabilitate his then-paralyzed left hand in order to play guitar, while also overcoming bullies and stereotypes. Along the way he found friendship and mentors with members of the Grammy-award winning band KORN. Featured throughout the film are legendary KORN band members James “Munky” Shaffer, Brian “Head” Welch and Jonathan Davis.

BOMB CITY – A crime-drama, about the cultural aversion of a group of punk rockers in a conservative Texas town. Their ongoing battle with a rival, more-affluent clique leads to a controversial hate crime that questions the morality of American justice.
