Saul Drop New Song “Trial By Fire” — Listen

SAUL have dropped the brand new song “Trial By Fire.” Listen HERE.

“Recently, our mother was dealing with lung cancer,” says lead vocalist Blake Bedsaul, sharing insight about the intensely personal track. “She was eventually put in hospice and we were taking care of her while we were writing new material. Since we were in the studio and writing during this period, the whole situation inspired the lyrics. Ultimately, the song is about the inner struggle of how we felt while balancing our personal and professional lives. It was as though we were walking through fire. Sadly, she recently passed away but we were able to spend time with her and to say goodbye. She lives on by influencing the song.”

The Iowa quartet—comprised of brothers Blake Bedsaul [lead vocals] and Zach Bedsaul [lead guitar, backup vocals], William McIlravy [bass, backup vocals], and Joe Nichols [drums]—consistently deliver emotionally-charged songs. This approach resonates on impact as evidenced by the group’s meteoric rise in the rock scene. In just six months, Saul have transformed from a Midwest favorite into a national powerhouse cumulatively streamed upwards of two million times and pegged by Revolver among, “5 Bands Most Likely To Breakout In 2019.”

Saul are currently working on their upcoming Spinefarm Records full-length debut. The band will also hit the road in December. All dates are below.
