After the release of the hopeful and dance-inducing single “Wonders,” FLOYA are shaking things The Hymn.”
This time, the duo lean into fast-paced rock, while still managing to maintain their unique art-pop influence. “The Hymn” scoops you up and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride through FLOYA’s dreamscape.
“‘The Hymn’ is about compromise and letting go, but also about making peace with these concepts,” shares vocalist Phil Bayer. “There are times when you realize you can’t have everything you want, so then you’ve got to decide what to pursue and what to let go of. These things can be fairly dramatic sometimes, but in the end, these scenarios teach me about what’s most important to me.”
Once more, full production duties and additional songwriting were fulfilled by Chris Kempe (Embark Audio), best known for his work in ALAZKA and Time, The Valuator, and mastering being handled by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, You Me At Six, Biffy Clyro, Don Broco).
Rising from the ashes of ALAZKA and Time, The Valuator, FLOYA are a German duo comprised of Bayer and Marv Wilder. They’ve established a wild blend of rock with elements of modern EDM and world music. Carving a name for themselves individually in the past as the founders and songwriters of their praised acts, Phil and Marv are now headed on a journey of their own, exploring sound aesthetics across every genre following one simple mantra: There are no limits.
With this statement engraved on their minds FLOYA strive to create something bigger than themselves, taking you on an unforgettable adventure into their very hearts.
