BUSH: December 19, 2025 @ Treasure Island Event Center in Welch, MN

Bush brought a strong mix of nostalgia and new material to the Treasure Island Event Center, delivering a set that felt confident, polished, and surprisingly emotional at times. The crowd skewed heavily toward longtime fans (although there were a refreshingly small handful of people in their twenties), and from the opening notes of “Everything Zen,” it was clear most people in the room knew exactly what they were there for.

The early stretch of the set leaned into classic Bush energy. “Bullet Holes” and “Machinehead” hit hard back-to-back, with the band sounding tight and well-rehearsed. Next was “The Land of Milk and Honey,” one of my favorite “newer” Bush songs. After that was one of my favorite “older” songs, “The Chemicals Between Us.” During “Quicksand,” Gavin Rossdale ran through the crowd, high-fiving and singing alongside fans. His voice held up well throughout the night, especially considering how demanding the setlist was.

Midway through the show, the band changed things up to let the crowd breathe. Chris, Corey, and Nik exited while Gavin performed “Glycerine” solo. The stripped-down version felt intimate and earned a loud response from the crowd. When the rest of the band emerged, they played the down-tuned, heavy-hitting song, “Heavy is the Ocean.” Next was another surprise- a cover of The Beatles, “Come Together.” “It was a solid choice that fit their sound better than expected. The final two songs were “I Beat Loneliness” and “Flowers on a Grave,” which had Gavin running through the crowd once again.

After a brief break, the encore delivered exactly what fans were hoping for. “Swallowed,” again performed solo, set up a strong finish, leading into “More Than Machines” and closing the night with “Comedown.” Overall, Bush delivered a focused, well-paced set that honored their past while still pushing forward. This was my third time seeing Bush, but definitely my favorite and most memorable. If you’ve never seen them, I highly recommend making it your New Year’s resolution for 2026!
