But there is even more exciting news from the witches’ hut: after stepping in for guitarist Larissa Ernst as stand-in during her maternity leave, shredder queen Courtney Cox (The Iron Maidens) has now joined the band as a full member. Welcome to the coven, Courtney!

Courtney Cox comments:

“I’m really excited to be joining my sisters in BURNING WITCHES as a full time member. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us on this metal journey and can’t wait to rock with the coven all around the world!”

But Larissa Ernst won’t leave her witchy sisters behind, as she states:

“Dear friends of BURNING WITCHES, as the birth of my baby approaches, I am focusing on my family and will stay in the background of the band for a while. I will continue helping with various tasks and I’m looking forward to seeing you again. I am highly thankful for everybody that supported me, my witch sisters, the team and the label!

BURNING WITCHES set the world ablaze, ushering in a new wave of heavy metal!

On fifteen energetic tracks, BURNING WITCHES ring the bells for a midnight mass in smoky-warm bars. Restless and intense, the fierce women of BURNING WITCHES shred their instruments on ‘The Dark Tower’ like no other, but with the soft mid-tempo track “Tomorrow”, the witches settle down to gather their strength for just a moment. Bittersweet melodies float up to the sky like weightless feathers, carrying a message of five confident women. Ready again to gradually increase the tempo, “Heart Of Ice” and “Arrow Of Time” ensnare with extravagant guitar tapping and heroic vocals by Laura, while “The Lost Souls” merges devilish staccato and legato riffs, creating an ominous atmosphere amid the bewitching screams of the five Swiss enchantresses.

With their new studio album, BURNING WITCHES not only bring back the glory days of heavy metal, but push it beyond – trapping the soul of each listener with energetic performances on ‘The Dark Tower’.

In October, the WITCHES will head out on a UK tour with labelmates KK’s PRIEST, the new band of legendary Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing and singer Tim “Ripper” Owens, together with ex-Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di’Anno’s solo project. Then, in December, the band will headline their own tour of Mexico and the western USA.
