Kamelot’s show in Salt Lake City on September 10, 2026 at The Complex was a powerful reminder of why the band has remained a standout name in symphonic and progressive metal. From the opening moments, the atmosphere was electric, with the crowd immediately responding to the band’s dramatic sound and commanding stage presence.
The show opened with Frozen Crown an up coming band featuring the voice of Giada “Jade” Etro who would later sing with Kamelot during their set. Giada’s growls were amazing during their set as well as the Kamelot set. As life has it I missed the first part of their set so I wasn’t able to get photos but this is a band to not be missed. So get there early unlike I did.
Up next was Visions of Atlantis. They have been in town before and it is always good to see them. Their outlaw look and the vocals of Clémentine Delauney are some of my favorite parts of their show. They hit the spot as openers for Kamelot.
Up next was Kamelot and their amazing set. It has so much going on that one would feel themselves looking all over at all the different aspects of it for little hidden pieces in it. The vocals of Tommy Karevik standout in the metal/rock world. His presence on stage is amazing also. The rest of the band played with confidence and sounded dead on.
The setlist offered a strong mix of material, balancing newer songs with fan favorites from throughout Kamelot’s career. The combination of heavy guitars, soaring melodies, orchestral textures, and emotional vocals translated exceptionally well to a live setting. The songs felt bigger and more intense than on record, especially during the most dramatic and theatrical moments of the performance.
Tommy Karevik was a particularly impressive presence on stage. His vocals were powerful and expressive, moving effortlessly between softer passages and the soaring, high-energy sections that define Kamelot’s sound. The rest of the band matched that energy, delivering tight musicianship while still making the performance feel spontaneous and engaging.
The lighting and visual production also added significantly to the experience. Dark, atmospheric colors and dramatic effects complemented the music without distracting from the performers. The crowd’s energy continued to build throughout the night, creating a strong connection between the band and the audience.
Overall, Kamelot delivered a memorable night of symphonic metal in Salt Lake City. Whether you have followed the band for years or are discovering them for the first time, the live performance demonstrated the emotional depth, musicianship, and theatrical power that make Kamelot such an engaging concert experience.
