As the band has done with each track from Bronx VI, when they have released the vinyl single, they’ve also unveiled a companion merch collection (Thebronxxx.com), focusing on artists that have a strong artistic vision and a history with the band. For “Jack of All Trades” that’s legendary San Diegan, Rick Froberg – known for both his graphics and music with bands such as Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu and Hot Snakes.
“Rick is an incredible musician, amazing artist, and total screwball.” adds Caughthran. “We have all been friends for a while now, and we are massive fans of everything he does. He absolutely crushed the artwork, it fits the song perfectly.”
The other participants who have taken part over the past several single releases include Dogtown’s Craig Stecyk’s unique glyphs showing up on a Bronx VI skateboard, LA-by-way-of-Australia duo DabsMyla’s striking imagery for “Superbloom,” U.K. graffiti artist/typographer Gary Stranger’s artwork for “Peace Pipe,” a “White Shadow” themed NFT in associated with cult punk/hardcore/Dead & Co. graphic designer Jeremy Dean, an Estevan Oriol-directed video for “Curb Feelers,” a trio of original paintings by tattooer-turned-designer Tokyo Hiro for the physical “New Lows” singles, and Rancid’s Tim Armstrong directing the band’s “Breaking News (Live)” video.
Bronx VI (https://thebronx.lnk.to/bronxviPR) has been hailed for its “tight, joyous rock’n’roll” (Consequence of Sound), with Brooklyn Vegan saying “it’s classic fucking Bronx alright,” Revolver calling the 11-song album “high octane” and Kerrang! declaring them the “perfect punk band”
