SPENCER MARCU Announces Debut Album “Homemade”

Friday, November 19th, 2021 – Blues-tinged, grunge-laden rock ‘n’ roll superstar-in-the-making, SPENCER MARCU, has announced the release of his debut album, “Homemade” today which will be released on Friday, March 25th, 2022. Accompanying today’s announcement is the release of SPENCER‘s debut single “Damaged All My Goods” and its official music video which stars SPENCER alongside his uncle, Hollywood actor RAY WISE (Twin Peaks, Robocop, Jeepers Creepers 2).

‘Homemade’ is a savage, grunge meets blues-inspired explosion of cathartic, purifying rock and roll. Joining SPENCER on drums is world-renowned drummer Kenny Aronoff (Iggy Pop, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, The Smashing Pumpkins, Brian Wilson, Neil Young). SPENCER played all other instruments and self-produced the album with the help of legendary producers Joe Barresi (Kyuss, Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails) who worked with SPENCER on achieving the phenomenal guitar tone, and Adam Kasper (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, R.E.M., Aerosmith, Soundgarden) who mixed the album.

Speaking on his debut single and new music video, SPENCER MARCU shares
“The song as seen through the video is about trying to gain some hard-earned wisdom. It’s about self-reflection and resistance to negative temptations. About overcoming fear and doubt by letting things go. I experience the difficulty and the temptation but then see the irony and humor of it all and, ultimately, return to a more peaceful, familiar, and youthful part of my life. It was cool to work with my uncle, Ray Wise, and have him in the video. He’s such a great actor and an even better uncle, so I’m very grateful that he was able to join me in this important part of my career.
“I feel so blessed and grateful to be able to release my first album, “Homemade”. It truly comes from the heart. Achieving the vision for this album wouldn’t have been possible without two great friends. Adam Kasper mixed the record and of course, Kenny Aronoff who is one of the greatest drummers in the world.
I hope everyone loves it as much as I loved making it. With the album finally announced and my debut single released, I’m ready and excited for the next part of my journey.”
