The Metal Allegiance show at NAMM is a show I look forward to every year. It is a show that brings together the most amazing lineup you could think to put together for a night of blast beats, circle pits, and full force thrash metal. This year was no different. You could definitely feel a bit of the somber mood as we all gathered still feeling the weight of losing RUSH drummer Neil Peart, and MA made sure to take a moment to pay tribute to the man who in one way or another influenced every single person in that room.
With a constantly rotating cast, MA gave us a night of Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Overkill, and countless other covers along with original MA songs. Basically, if you didn’t leave that venue high on life (and from the smoke in the air,) with a serious case of hair envy, and pumped to take on the year, you sure as hell did not do this night right.
