Bassist Joey Vera and Armored Saint are celebrating 40 years of crushing metal. From their first EP in 1983 to their latest live album Symbol of Salvation: Live, Armored Saint have been leaders in metal. Now on tour with W.A.S.P. who is also celebrating 40 years of metal, Armored Saint is blistering the US through the end of the year.
Brutal Planet Magazine sat down with Joey Vera in San Antonio before they played that night. Joey talked to us about what it feels like to be 40 years into Armored Saint. He also shared with us his excitement to be an official member of Merciful Fate.
