The history of The Vikings runs deep in Sweden and no one tells that story better than Hulkoff. He is released his latest single “Varjagen” which while somewhat fictional has its roots based in reality. “The lyrics are fictive, yet rooted in history, and deals with the life and fate of a Varangian,” Hulkoff said. When describing the song itself he said, “Mixing the shepherds horn mode with a touch of thrash metal, kind of automatically results in a somewhat eastern tonality.”
